Anavilhanas Jungle Lodge is not simply located in the Amazon: it is part of it, situated in the margins of Rio Negro, right in front of the Anavilhanas Archipelago, the largest river archipelago in the world, 180km from Manaus. The Lodge´s conception combines perfectly comfort with contact with nature in a harmonic and subtle way - there are no large constructions in the Lodge. From their beds, guests can see the forest through a glass wall 10m long. From the top of the 15 meters lookout, the eyes can roam the Anavilhanas Archipelago.
Focused on sustainability, the lodge constantly invests in the development of communities near the site. One of the initiatives was the installation of solar energy in primary school of a nearby community, guaranteeing the necessary electricity required for fans and refrigerators to store children's meals.
